Students from all over the University continue their passion for music through participation in our many performing ensembles.

University Band, All-University String Orchestra, and University Choir are open to all members of the UI community and do not require an audition. Students are also welcome to audition for other ensembles, including the 270-member Hawkeye Marching Band. The commitment to these ensembles is the same as for music majors; attendance at all rehearsals and events is mandatory.
