Undergraduate Piano Auditions

Music student at the piano. The B.M. or B.A. audition should include a minimum of 15 minutes of solo piano repertoire. While the complete program may be heard, the candidate should be prepared to perform sections of music as requested by the committee. The audition repertoire should consist of a minimum of two memorized solo piano works selected from different historical periods. Popular music, improvisations, and original compositions may be presented as long as the required two historical pieces are performed.  An audition in person on the campus of The University of Iowa is preferred. Uploaded video links of an unedited recent live performance including the above repertoire requirements may be submitted if a live audition is not feasible. Please divide individual works and separate movements into individual links. Upload the files to YouTube or other video file sharing sites; be sure the links do not expire and are accessible to our School. Once uploaded the link(s) must be emailed to contact Ksenia Nosikova or Rene Lecuona.
