Application Information



Performer application due April 1, 2020

Auditor application due May 1, 2020 (no recording required)

Performers only:

Performer applicants must submit a recording of at least 10 minutes of music, including two contrasting pieces of movements of a piece. If the piece requires accompaniment, it is preferred.

Applicants must upload videos to YouTube, or create audio/video links via dropbox or similar and email the link along with application form, bios/resume to                                   


Performers: $555*
Students, amateurs, semi-professional, and professionals may apply. 15-20 performers will be chosen by recorded audition.  Please indicate your preference in the specific classes that are offered, (see class schedule) by ranking three options. Every effort will be made to match the appropriate person to their selected classes. Performers will have the opportunity to perform in 2-3 master classes, attend all seminars and classes, participate in mock orchestral audition, participate in an ensemble, perform in a recital, exhibits and faculty recitals.

*Applicants accepted as performers should wait until after their acceptance to pay the performer tuition.

Full-Time Auditor: $365  
May attend all classes and recitals.  

Daily Auditor: $100/day
May attend all classes, seminars, exhibits and recitals.

Iowa High School Student Daily Auditor:  $50/day
May attend all classes, seminars, exhibits and recitals.


If you would like to request University housing, please indicate this on your application form.  Housing is $55 per night.  Students under 18 are not eligible for student housing.


The payment form will be open later in spring 2020.


Selected Performers will be notified by April 10, 2020. 

Class Payment for performers due no later than May 1, 2020

Class Payment for auditors due no later than May 15, 2020.

No refunds or cancelations after May 10, 2020.
