The 2nd Annual Iowa City Clarinet Choir will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, in the Voxman Music Building on the University of Iowa campus.

Whether you’re a community musician, student, educator, amateur player, or seasoned performer, we’d love to have you join us! Last year, more than 70 clarinetists from across Iowa and beyond came together to make music, and we’re looking forward to making this year’s Clarinet Choir even bigger and better.

We are currently selecting music for this year’s program and plan to send parts to participants later this summer, giving everyone plenty of time to prepare. Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s program will include a few additional pieces as well as some slightly more challenging repertoire.

Optional Fall Rehearsals
One suggestion we heard after last year’s Clarinet Choir was to provide opportunities for participants to gather and play together before the big day.
We loved the idea!
This fall, we’ll offer three optional rehearsals from 1:00–3:00 p.m. These informal sessions are a great opportunity to meet other players, become more familiar with the music, and simply enjoy making music together.
• Sunday, September 27
• Sunday, October 18
• Sunday, November 1
The optional rehearsals are just that—optional. You do not need to attend them to rehearse and perform with the Clarinet Choir on November 8.
Come to one, two, all three, or none at all. We’ll be delighted to have you join us on November 8!

Who Can Participate?
We welcome clarinetists from 8th grade through adult and from all experience levels. If you love playing the clarinet and want to make music with a large ensemble of fellow clarinetists, this event is for you.

Help us spread the word! Please share this page with friends, students, colleagues, and other clarinet players who might enjoy being part of the 2026 Iowa City Clarinet Choir.
