Dr. Albrecht received a BM from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in Music History and Theory, MM from the University of Texas - Austin in Music Theory with an emphasis in Composition, and PhD from the Ohio State University in Music Theory and Cognitive and Systematic Musicology.

Dr. Jonathan Sayre Allen joined the faculty at the University of Iowa in 2011 where he serves as Lecturer of Trombone. Dr. Allen holds degrees from The University of Iowa, University of Utah, and the University of Northern Colorado.
