Part of HANCHER’S 2026–2027 SEASON
Presented by HANCHER AUDITORIUM

A beloved vocal ensemble returns to work with students and enrapture the audience.

With Paradise, Chanticleer explores humanity’s eternal longing for the ideal: visions of a perfect world, perfect love, or a perfect future. Spanning centuries, cultures, and styles, this program invites audiences into a luminous meditation on paradise. Included are songs of praise by Renaissance composers as well as sacred manifestations of paradise, songs about earthly and divine love, and a collection of contemporary songs. In addition to Paradise, Chanticleer will perform with the UI’s Kantorei. The members of Chanticleer will also engage in a substantial residency in the UI’s School of Music in the days leading up to their performance in the Voxman Music Building’s wonderful concert hall.
