Undergraduate Voice Auditions

**All auditions for fall 2021 admission will be conducted virtually**

All audition materials must be received by February 1, 2021.

Audition Requirements

  • Two songs of contrasting styles, one of which must be in English.  Both selections must be memorized and appropriate repertoire for young singers wishing to train their voices in the classical style. 
  • An excellent (“studio”) quality video recording showing your performance of the required audition songs (see above), and showing a close-up of your face for one song, and a full-body (head to toe) camera angle for the other song.  Attire should be concert or audition clothing. Upload the files to YouTube or other video file sharing sites; be sure the links do not expire and are accessible to our School.  
  • At the end of your recording, please include a verbal statement answering the following question: What are your long-term musical goals?

Submit a voice audition information sheet via email to Professor John Muriello

You may be contacted to meet with one of the voice faculty for an informal interview or to answer any questions you may have. In this meeting you will also take sight singing and tonal memory tests.
