NEW in 2026!

Hawkeye Studio Artists—exclusively University of Iowa Voice students—will receive study cover experience for lead roles, perform in outreach events for both Cedar Rapids Opera and UI Opera, receive private masterclasses with Cedar Rapids Opera artists and detailed feedback sessions on audition materials through the Young Artist Program application season. 

All Hawkeye Studio Artists are guaranteed an audition for the highly competitive Cedar Rapids Opera Young Artist Program.

The inaugural Hawkeye Studio Artists class will take stage in the Cedar Rapids Opera’s January 2026 production of Die Fledermaus.
