Undergraduate Oboe Auditions
No prescreening required.
Any two contrasting music selections—solo movements, etudes (lyrical/technical)—that demonstrate your musical and technical abilities.
No technical requirements, but you are welcome to perform additional music—such as excerpts, concertos, and chamber music—and we can discuss such topics as reed making, scales, and sight reading.
The audition will be in a lesson format with a full duration of 60 minutes.
No accompaniment required.

Your audition is an opportunity to showcase your playing ability while interacting in a supportive lesson setting.

- You are considered for scholarship at the time of audition
- When will I hear about my results?
- You will be notified via formal letter about your audition results and music scholarship results in early March
