All-State Strings Workshop

Attention

The 2020 University of Iowa All-State Strings Workshop originally scheduled for October 10-11, 2020 has been cancelled due to complexities with the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Please check back on this site soon because the University of Iowa String Faculty Members will be scheduling zoom meetings for violin, viola, cello, and bass to answer questions for students and directors regarding the All-State excerpts and their preparation.  We will be rolling out this information soon so please stay tuned!

Iowa high school string students are invited to a FREE workshop to prepare for the Iowa All-State orchestra auditions.

We are committed to supporting young musicians in the state of Iowa and look forward to working with you!

The workshop includes:

  • Excerpt class
  • Solo master class
  • Mock auditions

Having these mock auditions before the All-State audition date will give your students a great chance to find out what might still need to be done in the remaining time before the audition. Our string faculty will give each student written feedback after the mock auditions.
