Sean Mason Quartet

Friday, April 11, 2025 7:00pm
Hancher Auditorium
Sean Mason composes and performs highly melodic, wholly infectious music. Branford Marsalis, a jazz legend, has praised Sean’s musicality. His debut record, The Southern Suite, is a roadmap to his music — a map that should lead you to his Club Hancher performance.

Rita & La colombe

Friday, April 11, 2025 7:30pm
Coralville Center for the Performing Arts
The 2024-2025 opera season will close with a spring production of French One Acts: "La colombe" and "Rita." These obscure yet treasured pieces have enjoyed a recent resurgence in the opera canon. Gounod’s sparkling score accompanies a farcical tale of seduction, while Donizetti’s Rita takes a darkly comic look at power dynamics in relationships.
