Iowa conductor James Dixon (1928–2007) was both a conductor and a connoisseur of gourmet cuisine. In celebration of his birthday, drop by the Main Library Gallery between noon and 1:30 p.m. to pick up a sweet treat and see a pop-up display of fun vintage cookbooks and recipe pamphlets from Special Collections and Archives—all featuring tasty birthday desserts. The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Based on the beloved tale by Victor Hugo, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a sweeping, grand scale Disney musical featuring a cast of 40 singers and actors. The musical will be presented in an operatic theatrical style on the Hancher stage and will feature the University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra.
