A concert bringing composers and musicians together.

The University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra will perform a suite of murder ballads by Hancher’s composer-in-residence Gabriel Kahane—and Kahane himself will join the ensemble. In addition, composer Lowell Liebermann will be in attendance to experience the U.S. premiere of his Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra Op. 142, written for and performed by UI Professor of Saxophone, Dr. Kenneth Tse, during the first half of the program.
