Preparation requirements
Preparation requirements
- Candidates should prepare two contrasting selections from the standard repertoire for their instrument, which may include solos, etudes, and/or orchestral excerpts.
- It is critical that the audition material be thoroughly prepared.
Time requirement

Candidates should prepare 15 minutes of music that showcases their best playing within the 30 minute audition time slot allowance.

- Two solos, selected from different historical periods of music, and of difficulty and quality appropriate for performance at the graduate level.

Auditions should consist of 20 minutes of music within the 30 minute audition slot time allowance.
Accompaniment

- Accompaniment is suggested but not required.
- If you choose to audition with accompaniment, you will need to bring your own accompanist with you to the audition.
