University of Iowa Community Music Lessons

Per UI policy on Youth Programs, the Community Music Lesson program will remain online through December 31, 2020.  Students and instructors may not meet in person for lessons.

The mission of the University of Iowa Community Music Lesson Program is to provide high-quality musical instruction for community members who want to begin or continue musical study. Private lessons are taught by University of Iowa faculty members and approved graduate and undergraduate music students.

All instructors are highly qualified teachers and performers who are supervised by The University of Iowa School of Music and who have undergone a criminal background check.

Full Semester

There will be no full semester option for fall 2020.  The Pay as You Go option will provide families and instructors with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations with schools and COVID19.

Pay as You Go

Register and pay for four lessons at a time.  This registration form is currently open.
