Audition Day

clarinet student and professor in a lesson

The University of Iowa School of Music Audition Day is an undergraduate-focused event where students can audition for admission and scholarships.  However, graduate students are also welcome to audition on this day.

Individual areas may offer additional dates for auditions. There are no planned events on the individual area auditions times. Please check your area audition requirements for more information.

Audition Day Activities

On the official Audition Day, planned activities for the day include a morning open house for students, parents, and guests with an opportunity to visit with School administrators, faculty, staff, and students, facility tours, and opportunities to learn more about our music education and music therapy programs. An official agenda will be emailed to registered attendees the week prior to the event. sample agenda
