Ryan Haynes Receives Fulbright U.S. Teacher Award

Ryan Haynes, an elementary music teacher at Austin Public Schools and 2002 graduate of the UI Music Education program, has received a Fulbright Teacher Exchange award for the 2025-2026 cycle from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

University of Iowa School of Music to host National Trumpet Competition

More than 800 of the country’s best trumpeters from middle school to graduate school will gather in Voxman Music Building to compete in seven divisions. The entire event is free and open to the public.
